December 21, 2005 - Bio-Organic Catalyst, Inc. is pleased to
announce that it has been invited to participate as an Industrial
Partner in CARIBELATE. Headquartered in Carolina, Puerto Rico and
established with support from the U.S. EPA, the Municipality of
Carolina, and other agencies, CARIBELATE is designed to spur economic
growth from clean technology advances in the developing world.
The goal of the
CARIBELATE program being undertaken by Bio-Organic Catalyst, Inc. is
directed at improving the ‘quality of life’ environmental aspects
relating to odors generated by municipal landfills to surrounding
communities, acceleration and increase of methane gas production from
municipal landfills, and providing improvements in leachate drainage and
treatment.
Based upon
previous applications of Bio-Organic Catalyst, Inc.’s proprietary
biocatalysts in successfully providing substantial reductions in noxious
odors in facilities that handle municipal solid wastes, and the
biocatalysts’ ability to solubilize the insoluble organic waste
components of fats, oils, and grease (FOGs), a basis has been
established for believing that the Company’s biocatalysts can offer a
economically viable contribution to improving the operations and
economic values of municipal landfill operators.
Carolina Mayor,
Jose E. Aponte De La Torre, states in his invitation to Bio-Organic
Catalyst, Inc. that “ We are confident that with your project we can set
CARIBELATE as a model of ecologically sustainable and economically
viable strategies and goals for addressing environment issues and
concerns, within its future location at the Carolina sanitary landfill.”
Bio-Organic
Catalytic, Inc. supplies its patented and proprietary biocatalysts for
numerous markets including, but not limited to, municipal wastewater
treatment, commercial / industrial cleaning, hydrocarbon remediation,
industrial metal cleaning and agriculture. All Bio-Organic Catalyst,
Inc. product formulations are non-toxic, 100% biodegradable and can be
safely used around humans, animals, marine life, vegetation and the
environment. No special clothing or handling apparatus is required. For
