August 31,
2005 - Bio-Organic Catalyst, Inc. (BOC) is pleased to
announce the successful installation of a Bio-Organic Catalyst system;
for substantial odor elimination, along with the cleaning of organic
wastes on surface areas, within a large municipal solid waste receiving
and transport facility in the City of New York.
The
client, a leading contractor to the City of New York, receives solid
wastes from New York City trash haulers, where it is mixed and
transferred into large container trucks for transport to land fills. The
City of New York, including its five boroughs, must collect and
transport to landfills significant volumes of solid wastes daily. Odor
complaints from these solid wastes collection and transport facilities
is an important community environmental management concern of the
contract operators.
Improving the total environmental ‘quality of life’ for both personnel
and the communities in which municipal solid waste facilities, including
collections, receiving stations, transport facilities, and landfills, is
a market application well suited to the superior performance
characteristics of the Bio-Organic Catalyst biocatalysts.
The
objective of the Bio-Organic catalyst installation is the substantial
reduction of facility odors, and the elimination of the buildup of
odorous organic wastes on floors, loading docks, and drainage systems.
A metered injection of the Bio-Organic Catalyst concentrate into the
facility’s existing water hoses during wash downs of the facility is
being utilized, and a linkage of the Bio-Organic Catalyst product
directly into air/water diffusion systems throughout the facility is
contemplated in the future.
