Test Results in a Wide
Variety of Applications:
Camp Casey and Camp Stanley
U.S. Army Bases, Korea, 2001: ECO Solutions Co., Ltd. was assigned
to test Bio-Organic Catalyst's EcoSystem Plus for treating
wastewater. Pretest conditions required BOD reduction to meet SOFA
standards. Tests confirmed that ESP could improve wastewater
treatment efficiency without requiring construction of new treatment
plants. Specifications have now been established, and the first
order was received February 2004.
Beale Air Force Base, CA:
Metcalf & Eddy was tasked with underground storage tank removals and
remediation of soil at the air base. Field studies showed
Bio-Organic Catalyst's NONTOX reduced soluble petroleum hydrocarbon
contamination by 90%, as compared to 27% with traditional land
farming soil amendments, and on a faster basis. The test results
bettered other treatments including fertilizer, compost, enzymes,
and microbial enoculants.
Lift station and forced main
sewer pipe: Using Bio-Organic Catalyst's EcoSystem Plus, odors were
eliminated. At the end of week three, 70% of the slime layer was
gone, and the previously dark brown slime was now a light brown
color. At the end of week five, the slime layer had been reduced by
90%. Dissolved oxygen levels vastly increased from 0.25 PPM to 4.2
PPM.
Kikkoman Foods Soy Sauce,
Midwest, 1994: Soybean fermentation wastewater contains high
concentrations of protein and starch, causing strong odors and
increased BOD / TSS. Bio-Organic Catalyst's EcoSystem Plus decreased
BOD levels 48% and TSS 51%. Dissolved oxygen increased 5-fold,
eliminating the need to add onsite plant equipment and treatment
capacity.
Westerly Wastewater
Treatment Plant, Rhode Island: Bio-Organic Catalyst's EcoSystem Plus
treatment resulted in higher DO, 39% reduction of power, and 25%
reduction in waste sludge volume.
Herten-Westerholt Wastewater
Treatment Plant, Germany, 1998: Bio-Organic Catalyst's EcoSystem
Plus converted organic solids to a form readily treatable by the
aerobic activated sludge process, increased dissolved oxygen so 30%
less aeration was required to degrade soluble wastewater components,
reduced energy requirement by 40%, and reduced sludge by 40%.
Meat Processing (sausage)
Wastewater Treatment Plant, Illinois, 1998: Bio-Organic Catalyst's
EcoSystem Plus significantly reduced odor levels, achieved a 27%
increase in dissolved oxygen, 75% reduction in clarifier raft growth
rate and annual cost savings of $50,000+.
Worldwide Environmental
Technologies, April 2000: Achieved 67% reduction in grease cap
volume in 14 days for a beef slaughter / hide tanning plant with
daily capacity of 3,000 head.
